Jobs is currently available after a workspace administrator enables Labs. The area is still being developed.
A job represents one project at one property. It's the place everything about that project lives, so you don't have to remember which design went with which client, or where you saved the measurements.
What a job holds
- The property — the address the work is happening at
- The client — who you're doing it for (professional workspaces)
- Photos — what the space looks like now
- Designs — what you're proposing it becomes
- A site plan — measurements of the property
- Plants — the plant list for the project
- Tasks — the work to get it installed
- The conversation — comments and a record of what changed
Why it's structured this way
Most landscape projects have a long middle. A client enquires, you visit, you photograph, you design, you price it, they think about it, and eventually you build. Along the way the details scatter: photos on a phone, measurements in a spreadsheet, the quote in email.
A job keeps that trail together, so picking a project back up after three weeks doesn't mean reassembling it.
Who it's for
Jobs is built primarily for landscape professionals managing client work. Homeowner workspaces get a simpler version focused on their own property.
What a job is not
A job isn't a replacement for a design. You'll still create designs in the Visual Designer and measurements in a Site Plan — a job is what connects them to a client, a property, and a schedule.
