How do I adjust a design element's brightness, blur, and other settings?
Fine-tune any design element with brightness, blur, contrast, opacity, saturation, and hue controls so plants and objects blend naturally into your design.
You can fine-tune the appearance of image-based design elements, including placed plants, objects, and custom images.
Step-by-step instructions
- Click on the item you wish to adjust
- Select Adjust Color and Brightness in the selected-item toolbar.
- An adjustment tray appears with options for rotate, brightness, blur, contrast, opacity, saturation, and hue. Select a setting.
- Use the slider to make adjustments. Click and drag the dot, or click anywhere along the slider line. The current value displays above the slider
- When you're finished, click the blue checkmark on the right to save your changes, or click on any blank area of the canvas or press the Esc key to deselect the item
Available settings
- Rotate — Change the angle of the item
- Brightness — Make the item lighter or darker
- Blur — Soften the item's appearance
- Contrast — Adjust the difference between light and dark areas
- Opacity — Control how transparent the item appears
- Saturation — Increase or decrease color intensity
- Hue — Shift the item's colors
To revert all changes back to the original, select Reset All in the adjustment tray.
