What is a Site Plan?
Learn how Site Plans turn a job's property address into an aerial workspace for measuring landscape areas and planning the project.
A Site Plan is an aerial measurement and planning workspace connected to a job. SimplyScapes uses the job's property address to load the background, then lets you draw and measure areas on the property.
Every Homeowner and Professional workspace can create a Site Plan from a job's Design phase after Labs has been enabled. Professional workspaces also have a standalone Site Plans list in the sidebar.
What Site Plans are used for
- Measure lawns, planting beds, hardscape, driveways, and other landscape areas.
- Compare the size of different parts of a property.
- Gather quantities that help scope materials and labor.
- Review the irrigation water budget against local water allowances.
- Export a plan to save or share.
How a Site Plan works
Create or open a job, add its property address, and choose Design > Site Plan. The aerial view opens with drawing and measurement tools. A job holds one Site Plan at a time.
Site Plans currently use the property's aerial background. Starting from an uploaded image or PDF, or from a blank background, is unavailable.
