How do I explore the plant library?
Discover how to browse, search, and filter plants in the SimplyScapes plant library.
SimplyScapes provides access to thousands of climate-appropriate plants. The platform offers multiple discovery methods:
Search
- Click the Plant icon on the right side of your screen
- Enter a search term (common or Latin names accepted)
- Press Enter to view results
- Use the "X" button to exit and return to the previous screen
Why you might not see results
Our search looks for exact and partial character matches, which means spelling matters! Misspellings won't return results even if the plant exists in the library.
Search tips:
- Verify spelling accuracy
- Use shorter search terms
- Try partial names
- Employ Latin names for precision
- Search by characteristics
- Browse by plant type when searching proves difficult

Favorites
Heart icons allow you to save preferred plants. Your favorites appear at the top of the library screen.

Pre-made plant pairings demonstrate proven design combinations from EZ Scapes by Proven Winners Perennials.
Plant Collections
Collections organize plants by function rather than type, with sub-collections available. Examples include Beautiful Blooms, Foliage Focus, Pollinator Friendly, Low Maintenance, and Native Plants.
