Understanding plant requirements and characteristics helps inform design decisions. The plant details panel displays comprehensive information about size, care requirements, growing conditions, and purchasing options.
Steps to view plant details
- Click the Plant icon on the right side of your screen
- Find the plant you want to explore (via search or browsing)
- Click the "Details" button on the plant thumbnail
- Review the displayed plant information

Design Images
Multiple design images showing different angles, seasons, or maturity levels allow for realistic landscape visualization. Click any image to add that version to your design, or click the heart icon to favorite the plant.
Plant Information Displayed
- Common and scientific names
- Plant type classification (Shrubs & Roses, Shade Trees, etc.)
- Mature height and width dimensions
- USDA Hardiness zones
- Water requirements (Low, Medium, High)
- Sun requirements (Full Sun, Partial Shade, Full Shade)
- Plant layer (Canopy, Understory, Ground Level, Detail)
- Bloom season information
Additional Sections
- Description: Growth habits, appearance, best uses, and special features
- Videos: Seasonal views and care tips (when available)
- Retailers: Local nurseries and garden centers that carry the plant, with shopping links
- Plant Collections: Curated collections featuring this plant
Free vs. Premium Plants
All users (including those on free plans) have complete viewing access to the entire plant library and all plant details. However, adding premium plants to your design requires a paid subscription.
