How does SimplyScapes Education work?

SimplyScapes Education gives verified educators and schools the existing Plus features and Professional workspace experience at no charge for teaching and learning. Your school administrator manages access through the same Manage people area used by Professional workspaces.

Who can use Education?

• Educators and schools: An educator or authorized school representative applies on behalf of the institution. You can use any valid email address; a school email is neither required nor proof of eligibility.
• Students: Ask your educator or school administrator to apply and invite you. Students must be at least 13 years old and cannot apply directly.
• Facilities and grounds teams: Campus operations, property maintenance, and grounds management use a standard paid plan.

Apply for your school

1. Open SimplyScapes Education.
2. Enter your name, email, role or title, institution, public institution website, intended teaching or learning use, and estimated number of users.
3. Read and accept the program eligibility and Privacy Policy acknowledgments, then send the request. Do not include student rosters or identity documents.

Your request is emailed to SimplyScapes support. Our team manually checks the institution, your authority to represent it, and the teaching or learning purpose. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval, and there is no fixed review time.

After approval, SimplyScapes creates your Education workspace or converts your existing school workspace and invites its administrator. Contact support@simplyscapes.com if you need help finding the invitation.

Invite people

1. Open your Education workspace and choose Manage people.

2. Click Invite People and enter the email addresses you want to invite.

3. Read the notices in the dialog, including the reminder that student access is for ages 13 and up.

4. Immediately above Send invitations, select the required affirmation:

   I confirm that I'm authorized to invite these people and that any student included is eligible for this Education workspace and is at least 13 years old.

5. Send the invitations. Valid invitations can send as soon as you have made the required affirmations.

You must make the Education affirmation for every batch, even when you are only inviting staff. It starts unchecked and resets whenever you change the recipients or attempt to send. The workspace's Activity Log records who made the affirmation, when, and which invitations it covered.

New invitees join as Members. An owner or administrator can explicitly promote a Member to Admin through the normal People controls. Read Manage team members for roles and pending-invitation management.

Billing and workspace access

Education includes the same features and applicable limits as Plus in a Professional workspace. Settings > Billing identifies it as SimplyScapes Education and explains the free verified access. You do not need a payment method or paid subscription for that access.

If you also belong to a paid workspace, its subscription and settings remain separate. Check which workspace is selected before managing billing or inviting people. Contact support to discuss a workspace's Education classification; it is not a self-service workspace type.

Student privacy and age requirements

SimplyScapes does not collect a date of birth for Education or verify student ages. Before inviting a student, the educator or administrator is responsible for confirming eligibility and that the student is at least 13, along with any approvals required by school policy or applicable law. The affirmation records that responsibility; it is not age verification.
